What you will do

  • Serve as the primary in-house employment counsel, advising HR and business leaders on hiring, onboarding, and executive compensation.
  • Manage international employment matters across Europe and Asia, coordinating with local counsel to ensure cross-border compliance.
  • Provide guidance on federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and NLRA.
  • Design and deliver training programs on anti-harassment, workplace conduct, and wage and hour compliance.
  • Support M&A due diligence and provide employment-related advice for corporate transactions.
  • Oversee employment litigation and government agency proceedings in partnership with outside counsel.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree with active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
  • Minimum 5+ years of employment law experience, including a mix of law firm and in-house roles.
  • Substantial experience with employee relations, workplace investigations, leaves of absence, and wage and hour compliance.
  • Proven ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable business guidance.
  • Experience managing employment litigation and oversight of outside counsel.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

  • In-house experience at a public company within the healthcare technology or medical device sector.
  • Experience advising on employment matters in international jurisdictions (EU or APAC).
  • Familiarity with immigration-related compliance and visa sponsorship processes.
