Location: Remote (Must be based in the United States; availability during Pacific Time business hours is expected)

What you will do
- Manage all phases of employment-related litigation, including wage and hour class actions and PAGA representative actions.
- Provide day-to-day employment law counsel to the HR department on hiring, performance management, and terminations.
- Draft and update employment policies, handbooks, and separation agreements to maintain compliance with California law.
- Lead internal workplace investigations into discrimination, harassment, and other misconduct, preparing formal reports.
- Manage the company's response to administrative charges filed with the CRD, EEOC, and Labor Commissioner.
- Develop training programs for leadership on anti-harassment, anti-discrimination, and wage and hour compliance.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree and active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
- Must be based in the United States.
- Minimum of 8 years of employment law experience with a significant focus on California statutes.
- Demonstrated litigation experience including motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Experience counseling business clients on employee relations and accommodation processes.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- 10+ years of employment law experience, including at least 3 years in-house.
- Specific experience handling PAGA representative actions and California wage and hour class actions.
- Familiarity with employment law requirements across multiple U.S. states and Canadian provinces.
