What you will do

• Define and drive the long-term vision and roadmap for the design system, balancing immediate needs with platform investments.
• Establish governance, contribution models, and decision-making frameworks for the organization.
• Mentor a team of designers and partner with engineering to ensure scalable, production-ready components.
• Explore how AI transforms design workflows, connecting design tooling, code generation, and AI-assisted development.
• Lead complex initiatives from strategy through execution and contribute directly to component architecture and guidelines.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience with significant ownership of design systems.
• Proven experience leading or managing design systems teams.
• Deep expertise in component architecture, design tokens, and accessibility.
• Strong ability to prioritize high-impact work and influence across functions.
• Experience partnering closely with frontend engineering leadership.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Storybook and modern design system tooling.
• Background in design engineering or highly technical product environments.
• Experience with AI-assisted design or agent-driven workflows.
• Experience building systems in high-growth startup environments.
