Quality Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Sedalia, Missouri, United States; onsite role with frequent presence on the production floor.

What you will do

• Lead and develop operational quality technicians through coaching, performance management, and technical guidance.
• Ensure aluminum low-voltage building wire products meet hirify.global specifications, applicable standards, and customer requirements.
• Develop and implement quality control standards, processes, controls, inspection plans, testing, sampling, and training methods.
• Direct the implementation and maintenance of the Sedalia ISO 9001 Quality Management System and lead process, system, and product audits.
• Evaluate production capabilities through quality KPIs and drive corrective and preventive actions with verification and validation.
• Build plant-wide quality awareness, collaborate with customers and North American headquarters, and communicate quality matters to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience; an engineering degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience managing in a manufacturing facility.
• Strong understanding of ASTM, UL, ICEA, and other applicable standards for low-voltage building wire and cable products.
• Proficiency in understanding and maintaining ISO 9001, auditing methodologies, validation protocols, design verification and validation, risk assessment, and mitigation processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to understand and communicate customers' technical needs and manage internal nonconformities.
• Proficiency with quality analysis and problem-solving tools, metrological knowledge, and sound computer skills across various software applications.

Nice to have

• Mechanical engineering and/or metallurgy background.
• Wire and cable experience.
• Six Sigma certification.
• ASQ certification.
