Quality Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: United States, based at the Chicago, Illinois facility, with regular driving between manufacturing facilities in Melrose Park and Elk Grove Village. The role requires domestic and international overnight travel as needed.

What you will do

• Manage the DRC quality assurance program and maintain an ISO 9001-compliant quality system.
• Build customer relationships, resolve field issues, manage warranty communications, and determine warrantable issue dispositions.
• Lead quality personnel and coordinate with quality engineering, field service, production, purchasing, and engineering teams.
• Develop metrics, reports, standardized processes, and efficiency improvements to reduce waste caused by poor quality.
• Lead root cause analysis, countermeasure implementation, warranty fixes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct supplier quality audits and onboarding, and manage the internal audit program and auditor training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field.
• 5+ years of combined customer-facing and operational experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of QC processes, including 8D, 5-Whys, PPAP/APQP, and 5+6S.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to visualize solutions using 3D design concepts and manufacturing methods, with knowledge of machine tool processes and capabilities.
• Clean driving record and ability to travel between five local manufacturing facilities; regular attendance and a typical 45–55-hour workweek are required.
