What you will do

• Own the end-to-end development of heat exchange systems, from initial design and analysis to supplier engagement and testing.
• Perform complex mechanical analysis using CFD and FEA tools to optimize heat transfer and system reliability.
• Design, build, and validate prototype heat exchanger units for power conversion.
• Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, controls, and software engineering.
• Ensure design compliance with industry standards such as ASME BPVC, TEMA, and API.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required (Master's preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in thermal-fluid systems with a focus on heat exchanger design.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo) and FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS).
• Strong foundation in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and thermal stress analysis.
• Must be willing to relocate to Austin, TX or Miami, FL (relocation assistance provided).
• Experience designing for high-temperature, cyclic, or corrosive operating environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with renewable energy systems, thermal energy storage, or concentrated solar power.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
