Location: Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo, CA HQ
Salary: $158,000 – $219,450

What you will do
- Own end-to-end engineering of fluid systems including compressors, valves, and heat exchangers.
- Perform complex thermal and fluids analysis to drive design decisions and ensure structural integrity.
- Develop and execute manufacturing/assembly instructions and test plans.
- Create and manage a Bill-Of-Materials (BOM) and lead vendor selection.
- Own subassembly design, manufacturing, and test schedules.
- Conduct risk analysis (FMEA) for subsystems and provide technical feedback to multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aeronautical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in designing, building, and testing fluid systems.
- Proficient knowledge in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
- Proficient knowledge of heat exchanger design and analysis methods.
- Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ.
- Must be able to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls (no visa sponsorship).
Nice to have
- Knowledge of thermodynamic power cycles.
- Experience with piping system design for thermal growth using FEA tools.
- Familiarity with ASME B31.3 and ASME PCC-2 codes.
- Experience with fluid system modeling via Matlab or Python.
- Background in design for manufacturability and operating test stands.
