Salary: $158,000 – $219,450

What you will do

• Own end-to-end engineering of fluid systems including compressors, valves, and heat exchangers.
• Perform complex thermal and fluids analysis to drive design decisions and ensure structural integrity.
• Develop and execute manufacturing/assembly instructions and test plans.
• Create and manage a Bill-Of-Materials (BOM) and lead vendor selection.
• Own subassembly design, manufacturing, and test schedules.
• Conduct risk analysis (FMEA) for subsystems and provide technical feedback to multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aeronautical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in designing, building, and testing fluid systems.
• Proficient knowledge in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
• Proficient knowledge of heat exchanger design and analysis methods.
• Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ.
• Must be able to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls (no visa sponsorship).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of thermodynamic power cycles.
• Experience with piping system design for thermal growth using FEA tools.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.3 and ASME PCC-2 codes.
• Experience with fluid system modeling via Matlab or Python.
• Background in design for manufacturability and operating test stands.
