What you will do
- Define and lead the technical strategy for advanced thermal development projects from concept to prototype validation.
- Serve as the senior technical lead for cross-functional teams, resolving complex technical challenges and managing project milestones.
- Develop comprehensive design guidelines and specifications for seamless handover to NPDI teams.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with external research bodies, including universities and national labs.
- Conduct and oversee thermal analysis, modeling, and testing to validate advanced cooling concepts.
- Mentor and lead engineers and technicians to foster a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a directly related degree.
- Extensive track record as a technical lead directing multi-disciplinary teams through concept and validation phases.
- Deep expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software, specifically CREO 4.0 or greater.
- Legal authorization to work in the US is mandatory; no sponsorship (H-1B, etc.) will be provided.
Nice to have
- Experience with cryogenic cooling, 1-phase/2-phase liquid cooling, or "natural" refrigerants (e.g., R744).
- Proficiency in CFD and FEA software, preferably Ansys.
- Experience using AI design tools for thermal components, such as generative design or topology optimization.
- Advanced degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Existing patent portfolio or published research in thermal management technologies.
