What you will do

• Own end-to-end engineering of fluid systems including compressors, valves, and heat exchangers.
• Perform complex thermal and fluids analysis to drive design decisions and ensure structural integrity.
• Conduct trade studies to optimize system performance and meet program requirements.
• Develop manufacturing and assembly instructions, test plans, and manage the Bill-Of-Materials (BOM).
• Identify and develop suppliers for all system components.
• Manage subassembly design, manufacturing, and test schedules while performing risk analysis (FMEA).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aeronautical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in designing, building, and testing fluid systems.
• Proficiency in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat exchanger design.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Must be able to work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience with thermodynamic power cycles and piping system design for thermal growth.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and ASME PCC-2 codes.
• Proficiency in fluid system modeling using Matlab or Python.
• Experience in design for manufacturability and operating test stands.
