What you will do
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with policymakers, C-suite government officials, and agency procurement leaders.
- Drive net-new revenue by identifying and qualifying cybersecurity opportunities through strategic partnerships and networking.
- Monitor and interpret federal and state legislative developments (e.g., CMMC, NIST) to shape the public sector go-to-market strategy.
- Develop initiatives for proactive services, including threat hunting and tabletop exercises, while advising stakeholders during emergency situations.
- Collaborate with technical SMEs and sales teams to develop proposals, white papers, and business cases for competitive bids.
- Represent the company at trade associations, advisory boards, and policy forums to enhance brand visibility.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in federal/state business development, government affairs, or policy roles.
- Minimum 5 years of experience focused on cybersecurity, specifically in incident response or critical infrastructure protection.
- An active, established network within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), Federal civilian agencies, and/or state/local government.
- Deep understanding of government procurement processes (RFQs, RFPs, GSA schedules) and regulatory landscapes (NIST, DFARS).
- Exceptional communication skills to translate complex technical vulnerabilities for non-technical policy audiences.
- Must be based in the USA.
