Product Design Release Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Lead the Product Development Team (PDT) to deliver closure subsystem milestones on time and within constraints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including manufacturing, studio, and CAE teams, to develop balanced solutions.
• Manage key deliverables through the Vehicle Development Process (VDP), including math releases, SORs, and PPAP.
• Assess engineering alternatives based on cost, weight, timing, and quality targets.
• Lead root cause analysis for dimensional and integration issues during program launches.
• Ensure design integrity through system design reviews and peer reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship (No H-1B, OPT, etc.).
• Strong experience with engineering operations, specifications, and release processes.
• Proven program and project management experience.
• Advanced analytical and structured problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• DFSS Black Belt Certification or Red X Journeyman.
• Experience with fixture design and product validation.
• Experience with budget planning and cost management.
