What you will do

  • Prepare complex technical legal documents, including indictments, arrest warrants, motions, and plea agreements.
  • Manage eDiscovery activities, including scanning, inputting, and linking case-related materials into electronic databases.
  • Support attorneys in trial preparation by independently compiling witness notebooks and organizing exhibits.
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis to verify citations and statutory references.
  • Perform electronic filing of legal documents with the U.S. District Court via the CM/ECF system.
  • Coordinate with victim/witness specialists and communicate with defense counsel regarding case developments.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Albuquerque, NM (On-site)
  • Paralegal certificate, JD, or completion of at least one year of study at an ABA-accredited law school.
  • At least two years of litigation paralegal experience.
  • At least one year of experience in automated litigation support.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools (LEXIS, Westlaw) and ESI tools.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work under extreme pressure.
