What you will do

• Collaborate with Product, Legal, Engineering, Design, and Operations teams throughout the full product lifecycle.
• Translate fragmented global regulatory requirements into practical engineering guidance and Business Requirements Documents (BRD).
• Conduct product risk assessments for new offerings to identify vulnerabilities and document mitigation options.
• Review user-facing communications, policies, and marketing materials to ensure alignment with consumer protection and licensing laws.
• Coordinate compliance workstreams, including sign-offs, licensing confirmations, and regulatory change implementation.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in compliance, legal, product operations, or risk within fintech, payments, or regulated financial services.
• Working knowledge of blockchain, on-chain transactions, stablecoin mechanics, and wallet infrastructure.
• Ability to navigate regulatory frameworks such as BitLicense, MiCA, and money transmitter obligations.
• Experience or strong desire to engage early in the product development lifecycle alongside engineering teams.
• Must be based in the UK, South Africa, Spain, or Portugal.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as ACAMS, CRMP, CRCM, or CCEP.
• Exposure to NYDFS regulations or state money transmitter licensing.
• Familiarity with institutional crypto products like custody, OTC trading, or DeFi yield.
• Knowledge of AI-adjacent compliance considerations for agent-based transactions.
• Prior experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.
