What you will do

• Develop and evolve social communications strategies for the Anthropic and Claude brands across current and emerging platforms.
• Steward a nuanced brand voice that balances technical depth with empathy and candor.
• Coordinate social workstreams between Communications and Marketing teams to ensure coherent storytelling.
• Execute communication plans for major events, including model launches, research publications, and company milestones.
• Lead reactive issue and incident communications on social channels, coordinating with legal, policy, and community teams.
• Nurture online communities by engaging authentically with developers, fans, and critics.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience leading social communications and response strategy under significant public or media scrutiny.
• Proven track record of growing audiences and deepening engagement and trust.
• Exceptional writing skills and mastery of nuanced brand voices.
• Experience managing multi-brand social ecosystems and navigating high-stakes news cycles.
• Fluency in internet culture and the specific dynamics of developer and AI communities.
• Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco or New York City.
