What you will do
- Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities in the commercial card and payments sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with key financial decision-makers including CFOs, FDs, and procurement teams.
- Articulate value propositions and match solutions to client needs regarding cost savings and risk management.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, track progress, forecast revenue, and report on key metrics.
- Collaborate with product, operations, risk, and compliance teams to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Negotiate commercial terms and contract agreements with new clients and partners.
Requirements
- Proven B2B sales or business development experience, ideally within fintech, banking, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of the payments industry, including card issuing, virtual cards, and expense management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools such as Salesforce to manage pipelines and track metrics.
- Ability to understand risk, compliance, and regulatory issues related to payments.
- Must be able to work onsite in Swindon.
