TL;DR

Senior Project Manager (Finance): Leading end-to-end delivery of complex finance projects with an accent on business case definition, stakeholder management, and financial governance. Focus on driving project outcomes, managing budgets, and mentoring project teams within a highly regulated asset management environment.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Edinburgh (Hybrid: 2-3 days in office per week)

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of medium to highly complex finance projects, from business case definition to final handover.
  • Create and maintain high-quality project plans, including risk mitigation strategies and resource allocation.
  • Communicate project benefits and outcomes to stakeholders to ensure support and buy-in.
  • Monitor project progress against budget, schedule, and quality tolerances, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Mentor and coach project team members to improve delivery efficacy and support personal development.
  • Ensure adherence to governance standards, including maintaining accurate RACI and RAID logs.

Requirements

  • Significant track record of end-to-end project delivery within a finance function.
  • Experience working in a highly controlled and regulated environment.
  • Advanced understanding and practical application of project management methodologies.
  • Strong programme budgetary control and financial management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive and non-executive directors.
  • In-depth understanding of asset management and asset servicing operating models.
