Language Arts Curriculum Designer (EdTech)

Location: Full-time onsite work in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area office

What you will do

• Design engaging, interactive language arts activities for grades 6–12 based on defined educational objectives.
• Write and edit user-facing content and collaborate with writers, editors, and illustrators to create accurate, engaging, age-appropriate materials.
• Manage curriculum projects and work with software engineers, visual designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality content.
• Develop ideas for improving existing language arts content.
• Research alignment with educational standards, common assessments, textbooks, and curricula.
• Monitor relevant scholarly and business trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in education, English, linguistics, or a related field.
• Experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring English; experience with grades 6–12 is beneficial.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with different age groups.
• Strategic and creative problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and openness to others’ ideas.
• Ability to quickly learn new guidelines and software.
• Must work full-time from the Raleigh, NC, area office.

Nice to have

• Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
• Familiarity with HTML, Jira, or spreadsheet formulas.
