TL;DR

Location: Remote with a requirement to travel to Chicago, IL up to 1-2 times a year.

Salary: $84,000–$120,000

What you will do

  • Manage revenue recognition for products, software, and services in compliance with ASC 606.
  • Configure project codes, revenue methods, and billing formulas within the Oracle accounting system.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including cost analysis, variance analysis, and profitability assessments.
  • Handle invoice preparation and review while maintaining communication with project managers and clients.
  • Post journal entries related to project costs, revenues, and adjustments.
  • Assist with external audits and support the Revenue Manager with ad hoc reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in engineering, technology, or retail.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to travel to Chicago, IL up to 1-2 times a year.
  • Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated experience in a team leadership role.
  • Prior experience with Oracle systems.
  • Background in inventory or software accounting.
