is a leading digital health company specialising in cannabis-based medicines (CBPM), dedicated to improving patient access to safe and effective treatments.
What you will do
- Lead day-to-day finance operations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage and develop the finance team, including Accounting, AP, AR, and Payroll.
- Support the development of a scalable finance operating model to enable international expansion.
- Maintain a robust financial control environment, overseeing risk management, tax compliance, and audit activities.
- Own month-end and year-end close processes, balance sheet integrity, and working capital management.
- Lead finance transformation initiatives focusing on process improvement, automation, and system optimisation.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- 3+ years experience in a Financial Controller role.
- Experience with inventory processes including purchase orders, consignment stock, and COGS.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience producing management and statutory accounts.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow in a high-growth environment.
- Must be able to work in a hybrid setup in Winnersh, UK.
Nice to have
- Experience within healthcare, pharmacy, e-commerce, or regulated industries.
- Experience working in a scale-up environment.
- Proficiency with Xero, ApprovalMax, ExpenseIn, and FloQast.
