TL;DR
Audit Senior Manager, Health Care Industry (Senior Living Auditing): Leading complex audit, review, and attest engagements for California senior living healthcare clients with an accent on GAAP compliance, FASB updates, client advisory, and practice growth. Focus on managing engagement staffing and budgets, resolving accounting and regulatory issues, and coaching audit professionals across nonprofit and for-profit organizations.

Location: Remote, but the successful candidate must be based in California, United States. Regular day-to-day work from the hirify.global office is not required; client and prospect engagement takes place across California.

Base pay: $142,000–$200,000 per year, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

  • Lead complex audit, review, and attest engagements for senior living healthcare clients.
  • Advise clients on audit results, financial insights, accounting developments, and regulatory issues.
  • Build relationships with California senior living clients and support healthcare practice growth.
  • Plan engagement staffing, schedules, and budgets using U.S.-based and international team members.
  • Assist clients with GAAP compliance and adoption of FASB Accounting Standard Updates.
  • Coach and develop associates, seniors, and managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 8–10 years of relevant experience with a public accounting firm.
  • Experience serving senior living healthcare clients, preferably skilled nursing, assisted living, or CCRC organizations.
  • Ability to work with both nonprofit and for-profit senior living organizations.
  • Strong client relationship, business development, management, and mentoring skills.
