SCADA / HMI Engineer (Industrial Automation)

Location: Remote, hybrid, or office-based work is available in Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, or the Netherlands.

Salary: EUR 2,525–4,075 gross per month. Final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Siemens SCADA/HMI screens, navigation, user roles, and operational logic.
• Configure alarms, trends, historian integrations, tags, and related data-management solutions.
• Implement and support OPC UA/DA communications and direct PLC drivers.
• Participate in system testing, validation, and commissioning for industrial automation projects.
• Troubleshoot runtime issues involving alarms, trends, tag updates, communications, and system performance.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Siemens SCADA/HMI.
• Experience with Siemens WinCC and VSS II.
• Practical understanding of OPC UA/DA and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience with alarms and trends; historian experience is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of PLC–SCADA interactions, tag management, data quality, and diagnostics.
• English at Intermediate level or above is required.

Nice to have

• SCADA/HMI scripting experience with C# or VBScript.
• Background in steel, metals, or other heavy industries.
• Experience with distributed SCADA architectures, server/client systems, user roles, and release management.
