Systems Engineer - USV (Maritime)

What you will do

• Design integrations for vessel- and job-specific automations according to integration standards.
• Maintain vessel control design documentation for engineering, certification, and classification processes.
• Define data exchange structures and communication protocols for robotic platforms.
• Integrate vessel systems with digital twin solutions.
• Develop verification schemas and example communication flows.
• Support software modularization and assign functionality across components.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience developing data and processing models for component-based systems.
• Knowledge of functional-layer, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with real-time communications and protocols including MQTT, DDS, ModBus, and CAN.
• Understanding of SCADA systems, PLCs, IIoT, and distributed control systems.
• Strong communication, coordination, ownership, and decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with maritime or autonomous systems.
• Knowledge of MBSE and containerization tools such as Docker.
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments and high-availability systems.
