Process Engineer (Automation)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days working from home, including regular time on-site at fulfillment centers.

What you will do

• Identify automation and process improvement opportunities across the fulfillment network using operational data and floor-level analysis.
• Build business cases by quantifying throughput, labor, payback, capital expenditure, and operating expenditure impacts.
• Own complete solutions spanning robotics, automated material handling, conveyors, packing systems, control logic, and orchestration software.
• Lead projects from design and testing through installation, integration, piloting, and handover on site.
• Coordinate Operations, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, vendors, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create reusable templates, playbooks, best practices, documentation, standard operating procedures, support processes, and training materials.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, a technical or analytical field, or equivalent vocational training and relevant hands-on experience.
• At least three years of experience in warehouse automation and process improvement, with end-to-end project ownership from concept to handover.
• Strong analytical skills, including spreadsheet business modeling and fulfillment-floor process evaluation.
• Proven project management, negotiation, and vendor engagement skills.
• Broad interest in both hardware and software aspects of automation.
• Professional working proficiency in English and willingness to spend regular time on site at fulfillment centers.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with control logic, orchestration software, or WMS integration.
• Working knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
