TL;DR

People Advisor (HR/Employee Relations): Providing high-quality HR support and managing Employee Relations cases for the Trafford Park site with an accent on ER governance, compliance, and operational execution. Focus on independently progressing complex ER cases, ensuring audit-ready documentation, and supporting the employee lifecycle.

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week onsite in Trafford Park, Manchester, UK)

What you will do

  • Manage ER cases independently, including investigations, hearings, note-taking, and drafting outcome letters.
  • Provide expert guidance to managers on UK employment law, policy, and ER best practices.
  • Maintain ER trackers, logs, and governance documentation to ensure all activity is compliant and audit-ready.
  • Handle employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, probation, and exit procedures.
  • Manage employee data in SuccessFactors and liaise with HR Operations to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Support the Site HRBP with engagement activities, communications, and local People Plan initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong ER capability with demonstrable experience managing complex cases independently (investigations, hearings, outcomes).
  • Deep understanding of UK employment law and ER processes.
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable advising managers and challenging them where necessary.
  • Must be based in or able to work hybrid (2-3 days onsite in Trafford Park, Manchester).

Nice to have

  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, or unionised environments.
  • Experience working with SuccessFactors.
