Chief Analyst (Data Center)

Location: Auburndale, Massachusetts, USA; in-person work three days a week or more, with flexibility to work from home or remotely at other times

Salary: $170,000–$190,000 per year, based on experience

What you will do

• Lead research coverage of the global data center market across infrastructure, hardware, software, and emerging technologies.
• Create and maintain research reports, trackers, forecasts, market-sizing models, and presentations.
• Analyze hyperscale deployments, edge computing, sustainability initiatives, and AI infrastructure requirements.
• Develop market hypotheses, identify industry trends, and provide distinctive analysis beyond descriptive reporting.
• Present findings at conferences, client briefings, webinars, and to media and industry publications.
• Advise clients on data center investments, technology roadmaps, market opportunities, and strategic planning.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of professional experience in the data center ecosystem, as an industry analyst or broader industry professional.
• Strong technical understanding of data center technologies and infrastructure.
• Experience building, maintaining, and enhancing market forecasts and trackers using quantitative research.
• Excellent written communication and strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage with and influence senior industry executives, build industry relationships, and communicate critical commercial issues.
• Ability to work with sales and marketing teams, manage deadlines, travel domestically and internationally, and collaborate in a global virtual team.
