What you will do

• Develop and maintain technical specifications for all raw material and intercompany packaging materials.
• Evaluate packaging performance, durability, and compatibility with production equipment.
• Lead packaging trials, testing, and validation activities to ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers, procurement, and logistics teams to optimize packaging costs and reliability.
• Investigate quality issues and lead root cause analysis with suppliers to implement CAPA.
• Drive sustainability initiatives such as lightweighting, recyclability, and waste reduction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in packaging engineering within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Proficiency with CAD tools, packaging testing equipment, and ERP systems.
• Fluent in English and Italian; knowledge of German is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials and converting processes.
