What you will do

• Lead R&D initiatives to design new products and improve existing intumescent technologies.
• Manage the full product portfolio lifecycle, including lamination, extrusion, and injection molding processes.
• Design, monitor, and analyze fire test programs to meet industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, universities, and suppliers to source new raw materials and reduce CO2 footprint.
• Provide technical support and expert guidance to Quality Control and production sites.
• Oversee laboratory management, including equipment coordination and safety compliance.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Material, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar R&D role.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Strong knowledge of building materials modeling and validation using test data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
• Must be based in or able to work from the Filago plant in Italy.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP ERP systems.
• Knowledge of AI applications in material science.
