TL;DR
Electrical Systems Design Engineer (EPLAN/SISTEMA): Developing electrical design solutions, schematics, safety circuits, and project documentation for complex industrial systems with an accent on regulatory compliance, safety functions, and cross-disciplinary engineering coordination. Focus on designing process and safety circuits, calculating Performance Levels, preparing BOMs, and supporting projects from bidding through final delivery.

Location: Torino, Robassomero, or Cavriago, Italy; short national business trips and occasional travel within Europe are required.

Starting salary: €36,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Develop electrical design solutions for complex industrial systems from proposal and bidding through final delivery.
  • Analyze customer specifications, define technical solutions, estimate materials and labor, and prepare tender documentation.
  • Prepare manufacturing documentation, final project documentation, component lists, and bills of materials.
  • Design electrical schematics, including process and safety circuits, and develop cause-effect safety matrices.
  • Perform Performance Level calculations for safety-related systems and define project safety requirements.
  • Coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines and support the preparation of user manuals and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or a related technical field.
  • 3–4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Solid knowledge of European directives and electrical standards, including Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, EN ISO 13849-1, EN ISO 60204-1, and EN ISO 12100.
  • Proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8 and familiarity with SISTEMA for Performance Level calculations.
  • English at minimum B1 level, both written and spoken.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, precision, dynamism, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of SAP for BOM management.
  • Knowledge of EPDM for document management.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD for layouts and technical drawings.
