Electrical Systems Design Engineer (EPLAN)

TL;DR

Electrical Systems Design Engineer (EPLAN): Developing electrical design solutions for complex industrial systems from proposal through final delivery with an accent on electrical schematics, safety circuits, compliance, and technical documentation. Focus on calculating Performance Levels, creating cause–effect matrices, coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces, and delivering compliant manufacturing and project documentation.

Location: Onsite in Torino, Robassomero, or Cavriago, Italy; short national business trips and occasional travel within Europe are required.

Salary: Starting at €36,000 per year.

What you will do

• Collaborate with sales and proposal teams to define suitable technical solutions and estimate materials and labor resources.
• Analyze customer specifications and develop electrical system solutions aligned with project requirements.
• Design electrical schematics, including process and safety circuits, and create cause–effect safety matrices.
• Perform Performance Level calculations for safety-related systems and define project safety requirements.
• Prepare BOMs, tender documentation, manufacturing documentation, and final project deliverables.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and support the preparation of user manuals and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or a related technical field.
• 3–4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Solid knowledge of European directives and electrical standards, including Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, EN ISO 13849-1, EN ISO 60204-1, and EN ISO 12100.
• Proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8 and familiarity with SISTEMA for Performance Level calculations.
• English proficiency at minimum B1 level, written and spoken.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, precision, dynamism, and a problem-solving attitude.

Nice to have

• SAP knowledge for BOM management.
• EPDM knowledge for document management.
• AutoCAD knowledge for layouts and technical drawings.
