What you will do

• Serve as lead counsel for data and research teams on legal questions regarding model development.
• Partner with product teams to draft and review consumer-facing terms, policies, and disclosures.
• Scale and maintain the company's privacy program to deepen customer trust.
• Monitor international AI legal frameworks and translate them into actionable company policies.
• Develop a high-impact, AI-native legal function using scalable workflows and systems.

Requirements

• JD from a U.S. accredited law school.
• 7–15+ years of experience in legal practice (in-house or firm).
• Demonstrated experience counseling product, research, or engineering teams on AI deployment.
• Fluency in privacy, IP, data licensing, consumer protection, and AI regulatory landscapes.
• An AI-native legal practice with workflows built into your own work.
• Exceptional, precise, and plain writing skills.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience at a foundation model company or AI research lab.
• Deep expertise in EU AI Act, US state laws, UK, or APAC regulatory regimes.
