Location: Remote (Must be US-based)
Salary: $170,000 – $205,000

What you will do
- Act as the subject matter expert on global privacy laws across all business functions.
- Lead legal reviews for AI and privacy-related features using privacy-by-design principles.
- Provide actionable guidance on complex data use cases and AI initiatives.
- Develop internal policies and playbooks for responsible AI use.
- Lead impact assessments (DPIAs, AI risk assessments) and document data processing activities.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and public policy teams to align legal requirements with operational controls.
Requirements
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of experience in privacy and data handling at a top law firm or in-house legal department.
- Expertise in consumer privacy laws, state health data laws, and AI regulations.
- Proven track record of building cross-functional relationships with AI, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Experience negotiating U.S. and international privacy contracts, including DPAs and BAAs.
- Must be based in the United States.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in healthcare, telehealth, or consumer-facing companies.
- CIPP/US, CIPP/C, or CIPP/E certifications.
- Working knowledge of privacy and AI tools for managing data inventories and risk assessments.
