Salary: $225,000 – $285,000 + equity

What you will do

• Own the full legal function covering commercial contracts, corporate governance, employment, and data privacy.
• Partner with the CEO, CBO, and executive team on strategic initiatives and intellectual property protection.
• Draft and negotiate enterprise contracts, vendor deals, and financing documents.
• Develop scalable legal infrastructure, including contract templates, playbooks, and internal policies.
• Advise on employment matters and strategically manage outside counsel spend.
• Lead the integration of AI tools to optimize legal operations and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership (NY preferred).
• 10+ years of legal experience, including time at top-tier law firms and in-house at high-growth tech companies.
• Generalist expertise in commercial, corporate, employment, privacy, and regulatory law.
• Deep familiarity with AI legal landscapes, including IP, data licensing, and model usage.
• Proficiency in using AI tools to enhance legal workflows and operational efficiency.
• Must be based in New York City.
