Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, BC, Canada

Salary: $105,000–$130,000 per year

An independent renewable energy producer with an extensive portfolio of hydroelectric, wind, solar, and energy storage assets across Canada, the US, France, and Chile.

What you will do

• Manage legal workstreams for the development, procurement, construction, and financing of renewable energy projects.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including partnership and project-related agreements.
• Coordinate due diligence, documentation, and closing processes for acquisitions and corporate transactions.
• Provide practical legal advice to business units on risk management, governance, and commercial relationships.
• Coordinate legal aspects of community, Indigenous, and financial partnerships.
• Develop and implement internal legal processes, templates, and best practices.

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the Law Society of British Columbia.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant legal experience (law firm, in-house, or both).
• Expertise in project financing, M&A, infrastructure, procurement, or corporate transactions.
• Must be based in or be able to work from the Vancouver, BC office (Hybrid model).

Nice to have

• Membership in a U.S. state bar.
• Experience in renewable energy, power, infrastructure, or natural resources sectors.
• Familiarity with legal project management platforms or document management systems.
