What you will do

• Lead and scale the engineering team responsible for ChatGPT's subscription and monetization experiences.
• Own technical execution for plan merchandising, paywalls, upgrade flows, checkout UX, and plan management.
• Partner with Product and Data Science to run high-quality experiments to improve conversion, renewal, and LTV.
• Build reliable, scalable customer-facing experiences for purchase and access-related states.
• Collaborate with FinEng and platform teams to evolve billing, payments, and entitlement capabilities.
• Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Support, and Marketing on monetization strategy and execution.

Requirements

• Must be based in or be able to relocate to San Francisco
• 5+ years of engineering management experience.
• Strong technical expertise in backend, frontend, or full-stack development.
• Track record of improving conversion and monetization through data-driven product engineering.
• Experience with subscription products, plan lifecycle experiences, and retention.
• Proficiency with analytics tools such as SQL, Amplitude, or Looker.
