Financial Accountant

TL;DR

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Leeds, UK (Hybrid: 3 days per week in office)

What you will do

• Assist with the preparation of UK and EU VAT returns.
• Prepare journals for UK and EU entities across various financial areas.
• Support balance sheet reconciliations as required.
• Prepare deliverables for external advisors regarding accounts and tax returns.
• Assist with audit deliverables and statutory accounts preparation.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to provide financial and statutory information.

Requirements

• Must be a part-qualified CCAB (ACA, ICAS, CAI, ACCA) or CIMA accountant.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience with VAT and tax compliance processes.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model with 3 days per week in the Leeds office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle Cloud.
• Background in practice or an external reporting team in industry.
