Senior Accountant

Location: San Diego or Mountain View, California; must work from the office at least 3 days per week

Expected base pay: San Diego $112,500–$152,500; Mountain View $119,500–$161,500 per year, plus potential bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Support month-end close and accurate reporting of liabilities and expenses.
• Review contracts and vendor agreements to assess accounting implications and classifications.
• Manage accrual accounting processes, including vendor rebates and recurring obligations.
• Research technical accounting issues, present recommendations, and drive resolutions.
• Perform control procedures, assess risks from process and standards changes, and maintain compliance.
• Collaborate across Accounting, Finance, and business functions to improve processes using AI and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to close processes, accrual accounting, and internal controls.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and practical application of accounting principles.
• Ability to conduct technical accounting research and communicate conclusions clearly.
• Strong organization, collaboration, leadership, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work from the San Diego or Mountain View office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• CPA or active CPA candidacy.
• Experience reviewing contracts and vendor agreements.
• Familiarity with Coupa, CLM, Oracle, or BlackLine.
