Solutions Engineer - Enterprise (Data Center)

Location: Remote, but required to reside in the surrounding Louisiana area; travel to SHI, partner, and customer events is required.

Salary: $160,000–$260,000 annual pay, including base salary and bonus.

What you will do

• Evaluate customer data center environments and infrastructure technologies with account teams.
• Design and propose infrastructure solutions aligned with customer business objectives, needs, and budgets.
• Identify technology opportunities across data center, cloud, network, security, collaboration, and services areas.
• Build technical relationships with OEMs and strategic partners and maintain current product knowledge.
• Provide technical training and education to sales teams and customers.
• Manage the solution practice pipeline, develop strategies for priority prospects, and support new business acquisition.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role and experience with complex data center sales opportunities.
• Ability to design hybrid cloud, hyperconverged, software-defined data center, infrastructure-as-a-service, automation, containerization, and data center management solutions.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, hypervisors, server virtualization, software-defined data centers, containerization, and automation.
• Expertise with mainstream technologies including Dell Technologies, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, and Nutanix.
• Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, high availability, backup and recovery, data protection, mirroring, clustering, and active/standby or active/active architectures.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience; ability to communicate and sell complex technical products and services.

• Advanced certification in Dell Technologies, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Azure, AWS, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, or Nutanix.
