Cloud Infrastructure Network Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate cloud networking infrastructure across one or more major cloud providers.
• Build VPC/VNet designs, hybrid connectivity, transit topologies, edge networking, and DNS infrastructure.
• Implement cloud security controls and network segmentation that support reliable, secure operation at scale.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into engineered solutions in collaboration with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to code reviews and design reviews while mentoring more junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot production networking issues and deliver maintainable infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of networking experience, including significant cloud networking experience; 6+ years of overall experience is listed for the position.
• Hands-on networking experience with at least one major cloud provider.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, BGP, and modern networking fundamentals.
• Experience with hybrid connectivity such as Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, or equivalent technologies, plus Terraform-based infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of cloud security, Kubernetes networking, service mesh fundamentals, troubleshooting, packet-level analysis, communication, and collaboration.

Nice to have

• Cloud networking certifications such as AWS Advanced Networking or Azure Network Engineer.
• Experience with multi-cloud networking and cloud-to-cloud connectivity.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, SASE architectures, and eBPF-based networking tools.
• Experience with regulated industries and strict network segmentation requirements.
