What you will do

• Lead the development of foundation models and multimodal systems for whole-body MRI.
• Own experiment design and validation study scoping for your specific model domain.
• Drive data quality standards and annotation criteria in partnership with clinical teams.
• Guide the strategic application of generative and agentic AI, including LLM adaptation.
• Define and execute a research roadmap to advance foundation-model capabilities.
• Deliver production-ready models with documented validation and performance benchmarks.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
• Strong MSc or PhD in CS, biomedical engineering, statistics, mathematics, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of ML experience with a strong publication or applied-research record.
• Expert-level proficiency in PyTorch and production-quality research code.
• Deep fluency in self-supervised learning and modern vision/multimodal architectures.
• Experience in medical image analysis and multimodal fusion of clinical data.

Nice to have

• Experience in body composition, vascular imaging, or organ segmentation.
• Familiarity with FDA 510(k) submission processes.
• Publications in top journals/conferences like NeurIPS, MICCAI, or RSNA.
• Prior work in a health tech or clinical AI environment.
