TL;DR
Lead AI Engineer (AI/LLM): Designing and deploying intelligent features and agentic workflows for the ARGUS Intelligence Platform with an accent on commercial real estate asset valuation and analytics. Focus on moving AI concepts from experimentation to enterprise-scale production and establishing scalable ML practices.
Location: Remote-first, must be based in Toronto, Canada (hybrid, 1β2 times per month in-office)
Salary: $200,000 - $230,000

What you will do
- Architect and deploy AI-powered capabilities, including conversational AI and agentic workflows, for asset valuation.
- Define the organization's AI technical direction, including model strategy, architecture, and infrastructure.
- Lead the transition of AI prototypes from concept and experimentation into scalable production capabilities.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to translate evolving business needs into AI solutions.
- Establish standards and best practices for AI/ML development, governance, and operational reliability.
- Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and AI adoption across the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and deploying enterprise-grade AI/ML systems in real-world production environments.
- Deep expertise in transformers, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and agentic systems.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience with complex system design.
- Technical leadership experience at a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Technical Lead level.
- Must be based in Toronto, Canada to support occasional in-person collaboration.
- Ability to communicate complex technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
