Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada; hybrid work with onsite attendance Tuesday through Thursday each week

Salary: CAD 152,000–190,000 annual base salary, plus equity and additional compensation components.

What you will do

• Lead the technical strategy and systems for the Customer Success Technology engineering team.
• Contribute to software architecture and technical roadmaps while balancing scalability, maintainability, and short-term delivery.
• Architect and implement frontend, backend, and agentic AI solutions for customer and support-agent experiences.
• Build workflows and capabilities for inbound contact handling and back-office automation.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver scalable software solutions.
• Troubleshoot reliability and performance issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience in a team environment.
• Experience leading engineers and delivering large features with Product Management and other partners.
• Experience working across frontend and backend development.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.

• Experience or exposure to AI engineering applications.
