Staff DevOps Developer (AI)

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada; fixed hybrid model with three days per week in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Salary: CAD 130,000–180,000 per year plus bonus

What you will do

• Define and operate multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, including compute, storage, VPCs, subnets, private endpoints, and load balancing.
• Write tested production Python code and build resilient integrations with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Gong, and Gainsight.
• Design and optimize RAG retrieval services covering embeddings, vector search, and re-ranking, and expose them through MCP servers.
• Own Terraform infrastructure and automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and related tooling.
• Build the integration layer between data warehouses and AI assistants, including agent skills, query APIs, and prompt structures.
• Implement security, observability, monitoring, cost governance, and platform operations for reliable AI systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development and platform or DevOps engineering experience, including end-to-end ownership of complex architectures.
• Strong Python development experience and expertise in scalable API integrations.
• Deep Terraform expertise and operational experience with AWS and Azure managed services.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, TLS, OAuth, SAML, Okta, secrets management, IAM, and RBAC.
• Production experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, or GitHub Actions.
• Practical knowledge of RAG pipelines, vector search, chunking, re-ranking, agent frameworks, tool-calling interfaces, and AI security risks.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Experience evaluating emerging agent frameworks and defining platform-wide engineering standards.
