What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of modern web and mobile applications using React and React Native.
• Own complex features end-to-end, from user interface development to backend services and APIs.
• Establish frontend best practices for component architecture, state management, accessibility, and performance.
• Drive the evolution of the design system and shared UI component libraries.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical mentorship across the engineering organization.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Clinical, and Data teams to deliver impactful AI-powered health tools.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience building customer-facing products.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern React architectures.
• Strong proficiency with Python or similar backend technologies for API and service design.
• Proven success leading complex technical initiatives in high-growth or startup environments.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.
• Expertise in accessibility (WCAG) and frontend performance optimization.

Nice to have

• Advanced expertise with React Native for large-scale consumer apps.
• Experience developing data visualization and analytics experiences.
• Familiarity with GCP, Postgres, and modern web architecture patterns.
• Experience integrating AI or machine learning capabilities into user-facing products.
• Previous experience as an early engineering hire or founder in a startup.
