What you will do

• Develop full-stack features with a backend lean using Python (Django/Flask) and React/React Native.
• Independently design and execute technical plans (RFCs) for large, ambiguous cross-domain projects.
• Lead engineering efforts as the directly responsible individual for roadmap commitments and launch timelines.
• Maintain HIPAA and GDPR compliance through secure, best-practice implementation.
• Mentor engineers and provide compassionate, impactful code and design reviews.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and drive process improvements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience in general-purpose languages.
• 2+ years of production experience in full-stack development with React, TypeScript, and Python.
• Must be based in the US (excluding Hawaii).
• Proven track record of writing technical specs and driving alignment across cross-functional teams.
• Deep familiarity with GraphQL/REST APIs and scaling relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with native mobile development.
• Background in AI/LLM-powered product features or recommendation systems.
• Experience working in high-growth startups or Health Tech/HR sectors.
