Business Development Representative (Sales)

Business Development Representative (Sales): Identifying and engaging new SMB consumer goods brands to automate ingredient ordering via an AI-powered platform with an accent on outbound prospecting and relationship building. Focus on conducting discovery calls, smashing growth targets, and collaborating with product teams to improve the platform based on user feedback.

Location: Hybrid: 3-5 days per week in office, Chicago, IL

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 base salary + Uncapped commission (70/30 OTE)

What you will do

• Prospect and engage new brands using cold calling, email, LinkedIn, and networking events.
• Conduct discovery calls with all outbound and inbound leads to qualify opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Growth team to set priorities and strategic direction for new business.
• Partner with Marketing and Product teams to continuously improve the product based on user feedback.
• Attend industry events to network, build contacts, and represent the company.
• Exceed growth targets to achieve overall business objectives.

Requirements

• 2-5 years experience in high outbound B2B sales in a Business Development role.
• Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets.
• Early stage startup experience.
• Experience targeting SMB customers.
• Must be based in Chicago, IL for hybrid office attendance.
