What you will do
- Manage Tier 2 HR matters, including employee relations cases, performance issues, and leave management.
- Provide practical guidance to managers on sensitive matters such as investigations, terminations, and return-to-work plans.
- Apply HR policy and jurisdictional requirements consistently across colleague and manager queries.
- Manage operational HR requests requiring professional judgment, ensuring accurate documentation and records.
- Partner with HR Administration and People Business Partners to ensure coordinated support and escalation of high-risk matters.
- Contribute to consistent service delivery and continuous improvement within the People Success team.
Requirements
- Tertiary level qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, specifically managing employee relations and operational matters.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance in relevant jurisdictions.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professional judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for providing clear, professional guidance.
- Must be based in Calgary, Canada, and available to work in-office at least 3 days per week.
