What you will do

• Lead the team developing high-throughput email delivery and pub/sub infrastructure using Golang, Rust, and AWS.
• Oversee the design and implementation of outbound channel integrations for Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Google Chat.
• Manage the event publish/subscribe layer and cross-team messaging SDKs in Rust, C#, and Python.
• Govern multi-account, multi-region infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
• Handle people management, including hiring loops, performance reviews, and professional growth for engineers.
• Drive roadmap planning, dependency management, and technical communication via design docs and RFCs.

Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent with 3-5+ years of experience (including team leadership for advanced degrees).
• Prior experience as an Individual Contributor in messaging, eventing, or platform engineering.
• Production experience with Go and comfort with its concurrency model.
• Familiarity with Rust's async ecosystem (tokio, axum, reqwest, serde).
• Strong expertise in AWS (ECS, Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB).
• Deep understanding of event-driven architecture, idempotency, and email deliverability standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with Auth0, Keycloak, SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.
• Proficiency in C# / .NET 8+ (Native AOT, ASP.NET Core).
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipeline design.
• Knowledge of security engineering, threat modeling, and zero-trust principles.
