Engineering Manager (AI Platform)

Salary: $165K – $330K + Equity

What you will do

• Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team of platform engineers.
• Define the long-term vision and roadmap for platform infrastructure in partnership with leadership.
• Oversee enhancement of monorepo capabilities and the development of project templates.
• Drive the design and implementation of shared libraries focused on observability.
• Champion improvements to the speed, reliability, and comprehensiveness of CI pipelines.
• Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to prioritize platform investments.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing and growing engineering teams, ideally in platform or infrastructure contexts.
• Strong technical background in Go and/or Python.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Experience managing and working within large monorepos (e.g., Bazel, Pants, Moon, or Turborepo).
• Advanced understanding of CI/CD concepts and improving developer experience at scale.
• Must be based in San Francisco for a hybrid work arrangement.
