What you will do

• Define and drive the vision and technical strategy for Developer Environments and inner-loop productivity.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence.
• Own the design and scalability of ephemeral development environments used in development and CI workflows.
• Improve environment provisioning, stability, and teardown workflows to enhance developer velocity.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes to minimize developer impact.
• Partner with CI/CD, infrastructure, and security teams to align priorities and tighten feedback loops.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience and 2+ years of engineering management.
• Proven experience leading infrastructure, platform engineering, or developer productivity teams.
• Strong technical background in backend systems (Python or Kotlin preferred).
• Experience with cloud-native systems (AWS, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Hands-on familiarity with Docker and CI/CD systems (e.g., Buildkite, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Prior experience managing ephemeral or remote development environments.
• Background in test automation, build engineering, or developer tooling.
• Familiarity with Terraform or Helm.
