What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of systems engineers ranging from junior to senior levels.
• Partner with leadership to define and execute the systems engineering roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure 24/7 production availability through effective incident response and on-call management.
• Manage cross-functional relationships with Development, QA, Security, and Customer Support teams.
• Establish and enforce standards for documentation, runbooks, and change management procedures.

Requirements

• Must be based in North America (NOAM).
• 3+ years of people management experience leading technical teams in SaaS or high-availability environments.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps.
• Expertise in Linux-based systems administration and strong proficiency in Windows Server.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Strong understanding of SaaS architecture, multi-tenant environments, and production operations at scale.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as AWS, Azure, or ITIL.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Familiarity with Java-based applications and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
