Senior Developer (Python)

Location: Montreal, Canada; hybrid model with 2 set in-office collaboration days per week

What you will do

• Design, code, test, and debug complex software for the SaaS application.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, coaching, and knowledge-sharing.
• Lead improvements in component reuse, extensibility, maintainability, and scalability.
• Monitor production applications and proactively resolve client-impacting issues.
• Contribute to the product-wide technical roadmap and cross-team technical initiatives.
• Identify product requirement gaps, design client-focused features, and evolve automated testing practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on data software development experience.
• Extensive experience with Python and unit testing using PyTest.
• Experience with React, JavaScript, SQL databases, Git, CI/CD tools, Docker, SQLAlchemy, and cloud platforms; AWS is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AI-assisted development practices and current software development trends.
• Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue and its unit testing framework.
• Bilingual French and English communication skills.
